Davidson Theatre Tech Crew
Hilliard Davidson H. S. Tech Crew is a support/service club which allows students to explore the field of technical theatre (i.e., lighting, sound, prop building, scenic construction and design, special effects, stage management, etc.) in both a theoretical and hands-on way. The club not only provides the needed technical support for the high school's plays, but also for all concerts, awards ceremonies, recitals, variety shows, and other programs that occur in the Performing Arts Center. Additionally, the club fund raises for theatrical equipment and tools that it uses, attends theatre conferences, sponsors social activities for its members, and collaborates with Drama Club on joint events/projects such as Drama Camp. Membership is open to any Davidson student, grades 9 through 12 and serves as a path for membership in Davidson's Thespian Troupe (ITS Troupe #1316). Students must be members of Drama Club and/or Tech Crew to participate in the school's theatrical productions (exception — chorus of the spring musical).
Membership benefits this year...don't forget to join early!
- Darby, Davidson and Bradley are joining together to offer another perk! You may use your club card and a photo id to receive a discount to any of the schools' shows on general admission tickets (except musicals) presented in their Performing Arts Center. Present your club card and id at the box office and receive $2 off your ticket.

STAGE MANAGEMENT SCHOOL - Wed., Dec. 6 at 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This is a workshop for anyone who would like to be an assistant technical director, stage manager, or assistant stage manager this year, or for that matter past this year. For new people, it's a good way to become familiar with production procedures that we use all the time. For experienced techies, it is an opportunity to lead and brush up your skills.
LIGHTING DESIGN & MAINTENANCE CLINIC - Thurs., Dec. 29 begins at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Since there was no Theatrical Design/Production course offered this year, this is your chance to learn about how to do basic lighting from idea to execution. Learn the names of all the lighting instruments, about color theory, about light plots & templates, about care of the instruments, and participate in in huge rehang for the year. Lunch will be provided about noon for those who participate in this clinic. Sign up on the Call Board so that we can have enough food and packets for everyone.
